The Kindle version of this book is handy--no pages, no weight; I'm going for an extended time so am grateful for the detailed rundown of so many many places, and having prices (although they will change) is helpful and not in all travel guides. The maps zoom in and the table of content works. Each of the three travel guides I've seen have their own strengths: this one, the DK and Rick Steve's guided tour.If you are going I would recommend it. If you buy the hard copy, you might want to bite the bullet and just tear out the pages you will use. Otherwise, e-books are our friends for this application.
Pretty decent guide, as expected from LP
Once I am done the trip to Slovenia in the spring I will know more how well the book has helped but so far love the info I have been reading. And of course having it on my kindle and iPad makes it great for traveling.

It has the basics, and it helped us find a few things that we needed (good places to stay, restaurants, etc.) but we found ourselves borrowing other people's copies of the Rick Steves book to get information on walking tours, what to see, and the extra background information about what we were doing that the LP book didn't have.
We found the travel guide "Lonely Planet Slovenia" very useful, explicit, and clear, and indeed met our expectations.We intend to visit some of the places in the guide, according to the time at our disposal. It will be a great help during our next trip.
I have many paper version LP and this is the first time I bought an e version. I was disappointed, the e version had not brought the orientation I got used to by paper version. There were so few pictures so it was hard to be oriented regarding the sights. I presumed that an e version would have boasted with pictures but it was not.
The kindle application is not user friendly. The book is very shallow with not enough information. I hope the not digital version is better.
