The book started with the basic things that you will need to do yoga. The asanas or the yoga poses are explained very clearly. The book is unique because of its reader-friendly display of information and illustration. The author did a good job on simplifying the instructions. What made it even better is that there are photos of the different poses which one could use as a reference. Other yoga books don't have that. Although I have done some of the yoga poses back when I was doing yoga, these are still very helpful. This book encourages me to continue doing yoga.The book not only focuses on yoga and its benefits but also on meditation. Know what the best part is? It is the 7 Day Yoga Program! Author Anna Shine is really generous with her helpful tips plus a bonus.If you are the type of person who wants to strengthen your mind and body to improve the quality of your life, this is the right book for you. But, everybody would want to improve the body, mind, and life in general. So this book is for everyone.

There are a lot of technical terms and they do show the positions of yoga and explain how to do them.What I don't get is why repeat half the book in the 7 day yoga program by showing all the poses and how to do them all over again?Good starting tool but I've seen so many others that do justice to yoga.

This a great go-to guide for beginners. It has some good descriptions of basic poses that are easy to follow and also come with images. This book also walks you through the basic setup of a nice environment to practice yoga. I especially like the 7-day yoga plan presented in this book, I have been practicing yoga for a while and I could add some of the poses shown in this book to my routines.

This book is very informative. I’ve learned a lot about yoga and meditation. I’ve understood the beauty and powers of our minds and also the connection between our minds and our bodies. I love the simple description of the different yoga positions with pictures/diagrams which makes it easy to understand by the readers. This book is ideal for people who would like to start yoga and meditation.

This book offers me a wide range of knowledge on basic poses of Yoga Asanas needed to know as a beginner to help me with exploring a portion of this vast sea. Yoga is an exercise that plays a vital role to limit stress and pain and also lose weight. This book includes everything to get started with meditation to help me to lose weight, beat stress and relief pain. I recommend this book.

This book provided me with a lot of value. I am happy that a stumbled upon this book, but I just wish that it had happened earlier. I have been interested in committing to yoga for a while, but have always ended up procrastinating. Probably due to how the books were written. This book, on the other hand, is completely different, because it makes you super interested in yoga and want to just continue doing it. I am going to refer this book to all my friends! Kudos to Anna Shine.

Yoga for Beginners is the essential guide to getting started with yoga. Anna Shine is easy to understand and free of excessive explanation, some of the poses and routines did get a little more difficult than I thought they would in a basic tutorial and I don't find it all that restful but just moving around helps get the day started if you've been sedentary too long. I will definitely use this book to be better prepared.

I like this book because it doesn't stress you out with a lot of big words that you would not know as someone beginning. It makes you more comfortable by putting it in easy terms and making yoga seem like something that is possible for most people to do. It will show you the benefits of doing yoga, how to do it, and different types of yoga stretches to do. If you want to read a very basic book that will teach you what you need to get started then get it.
