First off, this is the first amazon review I've ever left. I feel that strongly about this.Excellent book. It's absolutely stuffed with info. I saw a review that commented that the book was a little too short, but this is one of the main reasons it's so fantastic in my opinion. My impression is that Audrey Chisholm isn't a full-time author. I mean this as a tremendous compliment. So many times I've picked up a book that I'd hoped would be informative and to the point only to realize that the person who wrote the book has obviously filled it with useless fluff specifically so they could turn ideas that could have been communicated in a short article into a "book". This isn't what you have here. This is loaded with useful info and gets to the damn point without wasting your time. That's valuable. I also got her first book Start Your Music Business. I liked both these books so much that I bought both in audio format and the kindle versions. The double-edged sword here is that the reading can get a little dense. You will actually want to make notes, so listening while driving, for instance, isn't the best way to consume some of this. Again, I think that overall this is a great thing. If you want to be a more informed music business owner/manager, and you don't feel like wasting your time sifting through frilly verbose crap, just click buy and start reading this. Take a look at her other book Start Your Music Business as well.
Best book I've ever read on how to run your music business by Attorney Audrey Chisholm!
This was a short yet satisfying and useful guide to keeping your music business out of legal problems down the line by suggesting a step by step approach from choosing the type of business registration to protecting its name and trademark! I hired Attorney Chisholm after reading.
This book is a thorough guide to running a music business as an artist, musician, etc. How to manage contracts, resources to collect and keep track of your money, and reasons giving back is beneficial. These are just some of the topics covered in this book. There's no doubt Chisholm has the insight and experience of running a music business and helping others to successfully do the same.
I have to say that this book is very well written also I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to get into the music biz. I've bought many books on music biz. None of which has been so informational than Mrs.Audrey Chilsoms' (RUN YOUR MUSIC BUSINESS). Buy it you want regret it.
"Run your Music Business" guides you through your journey to understand the business and what beneficial steps are required to know when your business is growing and much more. A must buy for Recording Artist, Beat Makers, Producers and Record Labels who seek to reach the next level!- "IH"iamirronheart.com
